Can an AI voice agent speak Hindi or Hinglish for a Delhi shop?
It speaks the answers you wrote, including Hindi and mixed Hindi-English if that is how you already pick up. A mid-call switch off that card becomes a message.
The agent speaks the answers you wrote, in the language those answers are written in, including Hindi and mixed Hindi-English if that is how you already pick up the shop phone. A caller who switches mid-sentence into a question that is not on that card gets a message, not a guess.
I will not tell a dental clinic in Green Park or a coaching centre in Rohini that every accent in Delhi NCR is handled. The product is a spoken card. The limit is the card.
The languages on the card
An AI voice agent sits on the business line and talks like a calm receptionist. The first line is that it is an assistant. Customers will know they are talking to an AI. Hiding that in Hindi is still hiding it.
You already answer the phone in the mix your area uses. A Green Park chair hears “kitne ka hai” and then “walk in”. A Rohini parent hears the course name in English and the fee in Hindi. The card should be that mix, written down, not a brochure in one language and a mouth in another.
NexBuilt writes the usual answers with you. Hours. How to find the door. The fee you already print. How a first slot is held. Those sentences can be Hindi, English, or both in one line. The agent speaks those sentences. It does not invent a fourth mix because a caller used a word you never wrote.
What an AI voice agent is is the same job without the language question. This page is only the language of the card.
The Hindi card still starts at the voice floor of Rs 25,000 on pricing. That floor is the build, not a language pack I add later. If the same shop needs two full cards, one for each language, that is a larger scope. I will say so before I start.
What breaks when a caller switches
A switch inside the card is fine. “Sunday band hai kya, and do you take walk ins” is still two lines you can write.
A switch off the card is the failure. The parent who starts with batch time and then asks which teacher is “best for weak maths” has left the card. The patient who starts with the fee and then asks if the pain is an abscess has left the card. The agent takes a name and a number. It does not answer the new question in a more fluent Hindi.
I will not invent a success rate for mid-call switches. I have not sat every accent on the Ring Road. Listen to a week of transcripts after go-live. That week will show you the holes in the card faster than a demo in one clean accent.
Place names belong on the card the way you say them to a stranger. Laxmi Nagar. Pitampura. The turning after the metro. If you write “Laxmi Nagar, gate three”, that is what it says. I will not claim a model “knows” Delhi.
The written log after the call
You get a written log. That is part of the product. I will not invent which language that log uses until we pick the tool that writes it. Some tools keep the words close to what was spoken. Some keep a short English note. I will show you a sample from the tool we are actually using before the number moves.
The log is for you. It is not a promise that a Hindi call becomes a Hindi paragraph you can paste into a register. If you need the log in one language only, say that on the call. I will say whether the tool can do it, or I will refuse the job.
Keep the number on the board is how the caller still dials what they already have. Language does not change that path.
What this is not
This is not a Hindi version of the whole site. A page in two languages is a different question. Whether the website should be in Hindi and English is that page.
This is not a claim that the agent “thinks” in Hindi. It speaks lines. A thin card in Hindi is still a thin call.
This is not a medical interpreter. Diagnosis stays off the card in every language. Whether a voice agent is safe for a clinic is that limit.
I will not tell you Hindi coverage raises bookings by a figure I made up. A line that answers the fee in the words the caller already used can hold a slot. How many people then arrive still sits with your area, your reviews, and whether you ring the leftover messages.
Write the three lines you already say
Open last week’s phone. Write the three answers you already give out loud, in the mix you used. If those three lines are true, you are near the floor. If those three lines live only in one person’s head, we write them first.
Then get in touch. Read those three lines on the call. I will say the card can be spoken, the card needs a person, or the job is not voice.
