How much does a website cost for a small business in Delhi?
Starting prices for a small business website in Delhi NCR, what that floor covers, and how to tell when the job is above it.
The Delhi NCR floor for that kind of page is Rs 30,000. That is a floor on the pricing page, not a quote, and it is for a fast, mobile first site, not for a theme that still loads after the patient has gone.
If someone in Green Park is quoting you a price far below the floor on the pricing page for “a website”, they are selling a different job. The number below is what this studio starts at. Yours can sit above it. I will say so after I have heard the week, not before.
What that floor is for
The websites page is the job this number belongs to. A site that opens on a mid range phone over patchy mobile data. It says what you do. They can send a WhatsApp or a form before the wait becomes the visit. Ask whose name is on the domain and the host. Mine should not be.
It is not a brochure that looks like a brochure. It is not a Wix skin with last year’s hours. It is not a page that takes a wait longer than they will sit to open on a phone, which is what most of the clinic sites I have timed actually do.
I will not invent a second race. Nine clinic pages I measured: 8.8s and 2.4 MB in the middle. The sample: 1.7s and 89 KB. People leave after three seconds. A site that arrives after they have gone is not a cheaper site. It is a site that did not do the job.
What moves the number
A two page site for a gym that needs timings, fees and a trial button is not the same job as a dental clinic site that has to hold services, a map that matches the door, and a way to book while the dentist is gloved up. The starting number does not move because you are a gym instead of a clinic. The work does.
These are the things that push a job above the floor:
- The site has to take a booking into a diary you already use, not just collect a name.
- The same page has to stay true in more than one language, or hold a menu that changes twice a week.
- You want the thing kept running after I hand it over, with small edits as part of that, which is already how the work is sold, but a shop that changes every week is more of that.
The pricing page says the final price depends on what we touch, how many places it has to live, and whether it has to keep running after I hand it over. That sentence is the honest one. I will not replace it with a typical Delhi package.
What I will not tell you
I will not tell you a Delhi average. I have not audited every studio in the city, and a made up average would only make a bad quote look normal.
I will not tell you that a more expensive site brings more patients. A page that arrives can be used. Bookings after that still depend on the area, the reviews, the hours, and whether a person replies. That last part is a different page.
If you want the other side of the same number, read what a good website actually costs, and whether this is worth the money for a shop your size.
How to spend less without buying a dead page
The cheapest useful move is often the listing, not a new site. If you have no Google listing, or the listing still has last year’s hours, fix that first. If Instagram is where people already write, and the site is a Facebook page that does not open, the site is the hole, and a builder skin will not close it.
A custom build is not always the right next step. Stay on the tool you have if the page already opens. Wix, WordPress, or a custom site is the comparison, and the honest answer is that a builder is cheaper on day one and more expensive the first time you need it to do one specific thing well.
If the URL you already pay for already opens and books on a phone, I am not the next invoice. I will tell you that on the call.
What to do with the number
Write down the Thursday night job. Who has to find it. What they do next. If the list is locate the shop, read Sunday hours, send a WhatsApp, you are near the floor. If the list is sync three chairs, two stylists, and the walk in list, you are not.
Then get in touch. Bring the quote you were about to accept, or the URL you have now. After I have heard the week I will name a figure, or I will tell you the URL you have already does the job.
