How much does website hosting cost per year in India?

Yearly hosting for a shop page is the domain invoice plus the host invoice plus mail if you buy mail. Static files on Cloudflare Pages have a published free line.

I will not add those lines into one India total on this page. Registrars set retail. Mail is priced in dollars on Google’s public card. I will not convert currencies I do not bill.

The three lines you actually add

A NexBuilt website is files. After handover the domain, the host and the files sit in your name. You pay those bills. I say so before I start.

Line one is the name. The .IN Registry tariff page lists wholesale prices to registrars of Rs 500 a year for a second-level .IN, and Rs 400 a year for a third-level name such as .co.in. That page also says registrars are free to set retail. Your invoice is the retail line, not the wholesale line. I will not invent a typical Delhi registrar price on top of their table.

Line two is the host. Cloudflare Pages pricing treats static asset requests as free, with no cap, on the free plan and the paid plan. A request is static when it does not invoke Functions. A shop page that is only files can sit on that published line. If we add something that is not only files, I name that bill before I start. I will not invent a Workers rupee figure here.

Line three is mail, if you want a name@yourshop.in inbox. Google Workspace pricing lists Starter at a published dollar price per user per month, with a struck-through higher dollar next to a sale price on the day I opened it. Those numbers are dollars. I will not convert them into rupees. You may skip this line and keep mail where it already lives.

One time or monthly is the invoice shape. What a site costs in Delhi is the build floor. The site build starts at Rs 30,000, listed on pricing. That is not this yearly add.

How to add it up for your shop

Open last year’s domain mail, if you have one. Write the rupees they charged. If you have no mail, open a registrar and write the retail they show today, knowing first-year sale prices often jump at renewal.

Add zero if the live page is only static files on the Cloudflare line above. Add the host invoice if you already pay someone else, or if we named a non-static bill.

Add mail only if you will actually buy it. A gym in Saket that already lives in Gmail does not have to buy Workspace to launch a page. A salon that wants the address on the card to match the domain should look at the dollar card and do their own convert.

That sum is your year, for your shop, this year. I cannot do the add without those invoices.

What people treat as hosting and should not

Ads are not hosting. A click onto a slow page is a different spend.

A builder monthly that also holds the login is rent, not hosting in your name. If the page dies when you stop paying them, you were not hosting. You were leasing.

Time spent updating Sunday hours is a cost. It is not a host invoice. Count the evening. I will not invent how many evenings your floor will spend.

Photos you cannot export are a lock. They are not a yearly host line.

Downsides of the cheap host line

A free static line still needs a card on the domain. If the cousin holds that card, the URL can die on a Saturday. Ownership is still the first job.

A free line will not make a 2.4 MB theme fast. Weight is the page, not the invoice.

If we later add a function, the Cloudflare page says those requests count toward Workers quotas. I will say that before we add the function. I will not surprise you with it after launch.

I will not tell you a cheaper host raises walk-ins. A page that arrives can be used. Whether anyone then books still sits with the road, the reviews, and whether a person replies.
