How do agencies build prospect lists without a full time researcher?
A list that follows a written rule, from sources the desk already uses in public. Not a hire, and not a scrape I will not do. What automation can take, and what still needs a person.
You build the list by writing a rule the desk already uses, then running that rule against public sources you already open, into the sheet you already trust. That is automation, not a junior in every tab. I will not scrape a logged-in tool, and I will not invent a fit you cannot describe.
An agency in Delhi NCR that already hunts clinics in South Delhi, or gyms in Dwarka, already has the rule in someone’s head. The hole is typing it again each Monday. What office work you can automate is the same shape in a shop. Build outbound or buy it is the make-versus-buy. More clients without hiring is the capacity question.
What the rule has to name
Who is a fit. Area. Trade. Size you can actually serve. What “has a site” means for you. What “already running ads” means, if you only use public ads libraries you are allowed to see.
If nobody can write that in ten lines, a researcher is still the week, or the week is still an argument. I will not turn a vague “good leads” into a list.
Sources the desk already uses in public: listings, public sites, a directory you already pay for under your own login. The job is copy those fields once, then refresh the fields you named. It is not a new pile of addresses from a place you were not meant to open.
I will not describe how to take emails from a protected page. If the public page has no mail, the row stays without mail until a person finds a permitted path.
Monday morning on a small Delhi desk is often a tab farm. Twenty public pages. A sheet that looks finished by lunch. The same sheet is stale by Thursday. That farm is typing, not research. The junior is not judging fit for most of those hours. They are copying hours, phones and areas the listing already shows.
What the Monday tab farm actually is
I have sat with a two person desk that opened Maps, a public directory and twenty clinic sites before tea. Each tab was a source they were already allowed to see. Each row was typed again because last week’s sheet had gone stale. Nobody was inventing a fit in those hours. They were copying the pin, the phone and whether a URL existed.
That farm can become a run if the ten-line rule is honest. South Delhi clinics with a public number, a site that loads, and no “spoke last year” mark. Gyms in Dwarka with a listing that shows a phone. The run refreshes those fields. The person still deletes the friend’s clinic and the owner who sold.
I will not scrape a logged-in ads manager or a private directory you do not pay for. If Monday is tabs on public pages, the job is in bounds. If Monday is a tool you should not have opened, I will stop.
What a person still has to do
The first pass on whether the shop is a fit you would actually call. The unsubscribe. The “we already spoke last year”. The note that the owner sold.
A full time researcher is the right spend when that judgement is the product. A rule-run list is the right spend when the judgement is rare and the typing is the week.
The pricing page puts that one repeated job at Rs 15,000. Five sources and a second CRM is not the floor. I will say so after I have seen the sheet.
After the farm runs, someone still has to mark the row that is a friend’s clinic, or the gym the founder already called in May. Software will not feel that room. Budget a short human pass. Do not pretend the run ends the Monday.
How to know if you even need the job
Time last Monday. Tabs opened. Rows typed. Rows you later deleted because they were never a fit.
If the deletes are most of the sheet, the rule is wrong. Fix the rule before you buy a run. If the typing is most of the Monday, and the deletes are few, the run is the job.
I will not tell you how many extra retainers a cleaner list books. Count replies on your own send. Why cold email lands in spam is the other half of a wasted Monday.
Honest downsides
A weekly run of a bad rule is a weekly pile of waste. Faster waste is still waste.
A list that is never cleaned will be stale again. Someone still has to mark “sold” and “do not write”. Software will not feel the room.
Mail or ring. I work the week.
What to bring if Monday is still tabs
The ten-line rule, the sheet you already use, and the public sources you already open.
Send those three. I will say the run can take the Monday, the rule is not written yet, or the junior is still the cheaper honest line because the judgement is the product.
